Valentine’s Day was last week and many of us joined in on celebrating romance or love with our special person, friends, and/or family.
But how does love translate in our physical bodies to encompass our health and support healing? I honestly can’t begin to answer that question completely, but I have found this to be true and I’m sure you have as well:
LOVE AND HEALING go hand in hand.
These two forces are probably partners in the truest sense. It’s hard to observe healing on any level – physically or emotionally, individually or within a family or community – and not witness or feel all the love that was poured into that process.
It’s almost like you need the highest, most electrically and emotionally charged ingredients you can find to help positively change the molecular structure of a thing.
When you can love the diabetes, high cholesterol, those extra pounds, cancer, auto-immune disease, addiction, depression, or whatever you have had to deal with on your health journey with love gifts from Mother earth (our fruit, herbs, and vegetables) it creates magical healing chemistry.
And this magical healing chemistry, this love, is everywhere in nature. Love is not just an emotion, it’s a thing. It’s the grapes on the vine and the lavender in the fields.
Maybe this is residual Valentine’s day energy talking. Because even though it might sound a little woo-woo and idealistic, I do believe that Love can save the day. It not only gives us hope, connection, and purpose; it can save our lives and heal our bodies.
So the next time you look at an apple or a cucumber, or make an amazing spinach salad or kale smoothie, think of them as love manifesting as food for your highest good.
Thank them, love them back, and then take a bite.

One of your most beautiful submissions, and what a way to shift perspectives. Love these ailments by providing for their healing. Wow.
