During a discussion with some friends not too long ago, the conversation was around these two different lifestyles that don’t seem to add up to what we consider to be healthy. So on one side, we might have someone who’s exercised all their lives, they eat right, they are at what we think is their perfect weight, and they were the picture of health. And still something happens. They develop some type of health condition or they may even pass prematurely without any explanation.
And then on the other side of that, we might have someone’s grandfather or parent who has drank, smoke and ate whatever they’ve wanted their whole lives, and they’re still able to chop wood or drive a tractor, and live strong all the way through their old age,
These lifestyles contradict what we consider healthy. So how do we determine what is healthy and how to achieve it for ourselves.
Event though we all grew up in different environments and have experienced different levels of comfort or stress, and different levels of environmental toxins, But with all things being equal, it is safe to say that health is primarily a function of what fuel your body is taking in, how well your body utilizes that fuel and then how well is your body at disposing of the metabolic, cellular, digestive waste from that fuel.
HOW DO YOU KNOW?
How do you know if your body is doing these things well – if it is efficiently digesting, absorbing, utilizing, and eliminating the waste from the fuel you eat?
Well, many of us have been diagnosed with health issues and so we already know that something isn’t working at its best when it comes to breaking down fuel – aka food.
But if you don’t have a known condition, another way, of course, is to observe how you feel, move, and look. And I’m not not talking about how you look in a new outfit. I’m talking about give your body a visual once-over and take inventory. Do you have skin issues, rashes? How well are you aging? Are you stiff? Are you bloated? Do you suffer from mysterious inflammation. Do you have back pain, especially unexplained lower back pain that isn’t a result of trauma or injury? Are you chronically fatigued. Do you have trouble sleeping or moving around? Are you overweight or underweight? What are your bowel movements like – constipation, diarrhea? Do you see undigested food in your stools? Do you feel rested in the morning? Are you nervous or anxious all the time? To name just a few.
I ask these types of questions and a lot more in a detailed health assessment that I give to my clients to complete. And I know these questions may just sound like signs of getting older, but there are younger and younger people who can answer yes to many of these. Not to mention that we are all too quick to blame age when it’s not always the culprit. Just like the old man that was still chopping wood in his 90s.
However, even a detailed health assessment won’t tell you everything you need to know about the condition of the body. After all, these outward observations are only the external manifestation of our body’s internal environment.
In a typical medical practice this is where a doctor would maybe order a few tests or scans or send you to a specialist to gather enough information to provide a diagnosis.
In contrast, I use iridology, or the study of the eye. With iridology I use a clear, close up photo of each eye to examine the tissue of every major area of the body. Similar in theory to how the body is mapped to the hands and feet in reflexology, in iridology all of the organs in the body have a corresponding location in the iris.
Iridology lets you observe if tissue is in an acute, subacute, or chronic level of deterioration. Acute is the beginning stage. Subacute has progressed and persisted a bit longer. And Chronic shows prolonged damage. I know that sounds ominous, but in most all cases these conditions can be improved or even completely restored regardless of your genetics. That’s the beauty of Detoxification.
These two tools – a health assessment and iridology provides the basis of the roadmap or detailed plan for Detoxification & Regeneration that I use with my clients.
However, even though these tools gives us more detailed insight, you can still begin to clean and strengthen your body through the MAIN foundation of what is healthy. And that is the fuel you take in. This includes the mental and emotional food that we bring inside these physical vessels of ours.
When it comes to healing and food, just practice this and you’ll see improvement. The body is all about Chemistry and the Flow of Energy. The body cannot thrive in an overly acidic environment. You must be more Alkaline than acidic in order for the right chemical processes to take place inside the body and to NOT impede the natural flow of energy. Alkalinity is cooling, flowing, positive, electric, vibrating, and liberating. The body must maintain an Alkaline pH between 7.3 & 7.45 to stay in homeostasis. Acid is hot, sticky, coagulating, and binding. Acid will eat away at the cells, distorting & damaging them, clumping & melting them together, slowing things down, and eventually creating blockages to energy flow. So when you see dis-ease in the body, know that it is in an acidosis state. Unfortunately most of the foods that humans eat are acid forming and that’s why our health is being compromised more and more.
And yep – the most electric, alkaline foods are fruit, vegetables. That’s how you detoxify and regenerate the body. Start eating those astringent, water fruits (grapes, berries, citrus, apples, and so-on) to Clean and Alkalize and then at the right time & in the right combination you bring in the raw alkaline vegetables (your medical herbs – which you can take at the same time-, leafy greens, cucumber, celery, carrots, etc) to Strengthen and Alkalize. The acid forming foods (like dairy, meat, processed snacks, over stimulating drinks, and processed sugars and grains) have to be minimized or eliminated altogether in oder to regain health. And don’t forget you also have to love on yourself and speak words of compassion and strength into yourself.
So What is Healthy and How do you achieve it for yourself. The old man who lived a long, strong life eating badly, and smoking and drinking all the time probably had some damn good genetics on his side that kept his body processing food and eliminating waste at a high level. But with or without those genetics – you can achieve that same level of health by eating alkaline fuel that cleans, detoxifies and strengthens the body’s natural processes.
To your health,
